Frequently Asked Questions

We know that doing a new treatment is like entering into a totally different world hence we’ve prepared for you a list of questions and answers that you may have when considering an eyelash extension application. We hope that the questions below will make your decision easier.

What semi-permanent lashes do London Lash Studios use?

We use London Lash Professional Premium Silk Lashes. These enhance the beauty of the natural eye in different ways. You can choose from different looks as, for example, natural or dramatic. All our lashes are made of synthetic fibre, meaning they are hypoallergenic, vegan and cruelty free.

Some salons charge much less for eyelash extensions. Why?

Low price can mean:
– Low cost, poor quality products;
– Lash artist doesn’t spend enough time with the client and puts less lashes on your eyes;
– Lash Artist has just qualified and doesn’t have enough work experience;
– Beautician offers damaging cluster lashes or does not isolate natural lashes;
All our technicians finished at least few trainings in eyelash extensions and are one of the top artists in London. Additionally, our lash artists are multi-winners of various lash competitions that certifies their knowledge and experience.

How long does the application take?

Eyelash extensions is a relaxing process, which takes an average of  2hours – 3hours for a full set, depending which set do you choose. Extension refills/infills are 60-75 minutes. Each set has allocated different time slot, depending on the fullness.

How long do they last?

Eyelash extensions last an average of 3-4 weeks, as a result of proper aftercare routine. To have your eyelash extensions always looking their best, we do recommend to come for an infill between 2 to 3 weeks from the initial application. All infills in our salon can be booked between 2-4 weeks. After 4 weeks’ time, we will require a full set booking.

How do I look after my lash extensions?

Semi-permanent eyelash extensions are wonderful because they are completely low-maintenance. First of all, you cannot get the eyelash extensions wet for 24 hours after the treatment. Also, you cannot use any oil based makeup removers or products on the lashes or around the eyes. What’s more, the best care for these lashes is to just keep the eye area clean, which is why they are so great – you will revel in the time it saves you in the morning when you pop out of bed looking bright-eyed as though your mascara and eye makeup is already done!

Can I continue with my sports routine with eyelash extensions?

YES! After 24 hours you can go swimming with your extensions, work out and still enjoy your normal everyday activity because the extension becomes waterproof!

Does the application hurt?

NO! The application is a very relaxing process and is never painful. Almost all our clients fall asleep during the treatment and can’t believe how quickly the treatment went!

What products do you use?

We carry the product line London Lash Professional. It is our own brand that provides us with the longest lasting adhesive letting you enjoy your full set of extensions for a long time and the highest quality of lashes. As we use our own range of products, we have a full knowledge about all of them and how to use them to achieve the best results.

Do you use a sensitive glue?

All glues for eyelash extension contain the same ingredient, which is cyanoacrylate. Sensitive glues also contain this ingredient, however in a a lower percentage. They just produce lower fumes, hence are not as strong as the standard glue. Unfortunately, the retention may also be affected that’s why we do not use any kind of sensitive glue in our salon. If your eyes are very sensitive, please ask your GP for an advise. You can also call our salon, and we are more than happy to answer all your questions if you are not sure if you can have the lashes done.

I had the eyelash extension applied before but I had an allergic reaction. Can I still have them done?

Unfortunately, if you already had an allergic reaction, it is more likely that you will have it again. Most of the clients that had an allergic reaction in the past, experience discomfort and itchiness during next treatments. Please remember that an allergic reaction is something you can develop at any point while having your lashes done, despite having it previously done or after the patch test procedure.
If you experience, any discomfort, itchiness or redness around eye area after your treatment, please see your GP immediately and get in touch with the salon.

Are there different lengths of eyelash extensions?

Yes, we have a variety of eyelash extensions lengths (4mm to 14mm), thicknesses (0.03mm, 0.04mm, 0.05mm, 0.06mm, 0.07mm, 0.1mm, 0.12mm, 0.15mm) and curls (B, C, CC, D, L)  hence we customise a look that works perfect for you!
